Quick help - How to scan only png files:

1. activate the "Use File Filter" checkbox
2. activate the "Inclusive..." radio button
3. activate the "*.png" filter checkbox

With the next update the placeholder %FOLDER% (The name of the folder in which the file is located) will be available.

Is the "Use File Filter" checkbox activated?

Wenn Sie alle Hard-Links von der Suche ausschließen würden, dann können keine Duplikate von diesen Hard-Links gefunden werden...

That's still not possible using the search method "Find Similar Pictures"...

The file extension CR3 is not supported. See description of "Find Similar Pictures" in the manual.

Wenn Sie Bilder mit einer 100% Übereinstimmung finden wollen, dann müssen bei der Suchmethode "Ähnliche Bilder" die Vergleichsmethode MD5 oder SHA verwenden.

Das Problem mit den Umlauten lässt sich hier unter Windows 10 (Deutsch) nicht reproduzieren.

Erstellen Sie mal testweise eine neue Datei mit dem Namen "Kreditrahmenerhöhung.txt" im gleichen Ordner. Wird diese korrekt angezeigt?

With the search method Similar pictures you can use AllDup's database feature to store the calculated checksums in the database to reuse them with another search. See description in the manual.
